    - 1949 Columbia Pictures, S.A. Each 14" x 11". Color litho on card stock.
    A classic of Mexican cinema, LA MALQUERIDA ("The Unloved Woman") was directed by Emilio Fernandez, and stars Dolores Del Rio, Pedro Armendariz, and Columba Dominguez. It's a tale of forbidden passions, secrets and scandals - unusual for the conservative moral standards of the period.
    The 1949 film version is considered among the best Mexican films of all time.
    Dolores Del Rio appears on all cards. Pedro Armendariz appears on 2 cards. Columba Dominguez appear on 5 cards.
    With a career spanning more than 50 years,
    Dolores Del Rio
    is regarded as the first major female Latin American crossover star in Hollywood.
    Pedro Armendariz
    is best known in America for his films with John Ford (The Fugitive - 1947, Fort Apache - 1948 and 3 Godfathers - 1948). He also had a key role in the 1963 James Bond 007 film "From Russia with Love" (his last film).
    Columba Dominguez
    is considered another important figure in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema.
    A scarce assortment of notable Mexican movie paper with outstanding eye appeal.

    Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface / corner creasing and surface scuffing. Misc. pinhole wear (pinholes quite extensive on some cards). Most of this pinhole wear appear in border areas, though some do go into graphic areas. One 3/8" corner chip with no other tears apparent. Colors are still bold, bright and attractive.
    Overall, we feel these cards are still in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
    Collectively, they would make a scarce MEXICAN CINEMA display for the discriminating VINTAGE MOVIE MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated (7-6).
