Description

Great Lakes Salvaged Antique Iron Anchor
Very cool, collectible, and and worthy of a thousand conversations....
Found many years ago by what I would call a rough and tumble woman who I greatly respect posthumously. Great Lakes Captain, diver, adventurer, wilderness explorer, etc. all before her time. It was part of her estate we purchased and what I believe is called a yachtsman's anchor. Trying to research.
The story told was this was found in the St. Lawrence Seaway near Erie. Also, it is extremely old. Hand forged and hammered look to the chain. Brought up from several depths.
I can't weigh it, no way to do this. The measurements are approx. 39.5" for the span between fluke? tips. 61.5" Tall or Long, 65" long for the crossbar arm it rests on and the chain links are 5" by 3.5".
This would look great sitting on any water front property or in front of a Restaurant, B&B, Resort or Office.
